Horace C. Hunt Award

The Horace C. Hunt Award was established by the Gainesville Supper Club in 1987 in memory of Dr. Horace C. Hunt. This award is presented annually to the most outstanding student athletic trainer at the University of West Alabama.

Academic Scholarship in Sports Medicine

Awarded annually during the senior year to an Athletic Training Major employed in Sports Medicine who has an overall grade point average of at least a 3.00 and is recommended by the Athletic Training faculty.

The Clemit & Vicki Spruiell Athletic Training Scholarship

Established in 2007 by L.G. and Sara Cunningham and Clemit and Vicki Spruiell to enhance the educational opportunities for Athletic Training majors sophomore and above with a 3.00 GPA or higher in overall and Athletic Training Major course work.

University Scholars Award in Athletic Training

Awarded annually by the University Faculty Senate on Honors Day to recognize the Senior in Athletic Training with Superior Academic Performance.

The Norman R. Lindsey Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2013 by Mrs. Earlene Lindsey and her children in honor of her late husband and their father Norman Rouhlac Lindsey, a long-time Alabama State Trooper who served many years as the official law enforcement escort for the Livingston University football team, for the purpose of enhancing educational opportunities for students majoring in athletic training at The University of West Alabama.
